The Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park is located at 2400 S. Scenic Ave, Springfield, MO. The park contains a number of free attractions and activities that you can take advantage of year-round. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk, but closed on Mondays. Visitors can tour the grounds and visit the Japanese Stroll Garden, which is open from April through October. The park also features a Master Gardener demonstration garden.

The park is home to the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center, which offers educational and volunteer opportunities. The park also includes a cell phone “guide” tool, which makes it easy for visitors to navigate the park. The park has a lake, and features the Dr. Bill Roston Butterfly House, a Master Gardener Demonstration Garden, and a Mizumoto Japanese stroll garden.
