The Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden is a 7.5 acre Japanese garden with typical Japanese landscaping. It is located at 2400 S Scenic Ave, Springfield, MO 65807. It includes a charming koi lake and a teahouse. The garden is open to the public and offers a relaxing atmosphere. Its peaceful nature is reminiscent of traditional Japanese culture. The garden was built in 1985 and was inspired by the Garden of Abbot’s Quarters in Kyoto, Japan. It is the oldest attraction at the Springfield Botanical Garden.
It was renamed Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden in 2004. The garden was created by Yuriko Mizumoto Scott, a Japanese native who emigrated to the Ozarks following World War II. She volunteered to host tours of the garden and tell visitors about the customs of her native country. She also helped maintain the garden.
Located on S Scenic Avenue, the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden is one of Springfield’s oldest cultural institutions. It is dedicated to the art of Japan and features traditional Japanese landscaping. It is part of the Springfield Art Museum, which preserves artworks and promotes cultural awareness.

This is a fundraiser for two nonprofit organizations. The gardens also feature a traditional Japanese lantern. Visitors can stroll along a walking tour plan to see the different parts of the garden.
This beautiful Japanese-style garden is situated on the grounds of the Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. The founders of the park appreciated the beauty of traditional Japanese scenery, and decided to incorporate a traditional Japanese garden into the larger park. Sculptures by world-renowned artists are also on display at the site. The garden is open from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
